9/6/2016- GRADUAL CHANGE IN A POLITICAL PARTY WITHIN 5 YEARS
5 years ago, a political party namely Parti Islam Se-Malaysia (PAS) had introduced 'Benevolent State' (Negara Berkebajikan) concept during its 57th Annual General Assembly. This concept was to promote its own framework n vision to rebuild Malaysia, as well as to reinforce itself as potential alternative government. This shown that PAS had have a momentum to ready to fight for victory in the General Election. Both Ulama n Professionals/Erdoganist factions were cooperating together to make PAS as a people-oriented party. People wellfare n governance were prioritized.
Nevertheless, after 5 years, the same political party already forget the 'Benevolent State' concept; it becomes so-called Islamist party who struggle for implementation of Hudud penal code in Kelantan. The pro-Unity Governemt faction evolved from Ulama faction has gradually controlled the leadership n directipn of the party's function after the Professionals faction quit to form Amanah party. It no longer have momentum n firm stand to cooperat e with DAP n PKR to reinforce themselves as alternative government. Instead of promoting its own vision of country rebuilding, they currently just want to walk closer with UMNO in order to become 'advisor' of the latter one. Sounds like NGO, right?
What a great shift in party direction from being a bold party that have bold vision into pessimistic obe that just want to become 'advisor' of its political rival... From people-friendly political party to become merely NGO-like Islamist party...
