In 2018, just few weeks after GE-14 was over, I found these electoral campaign material at Batu Pahat, when I was travelling and sightseeing at there. These materials were supposedly to deliver Johore BN's aim to persuade local voters to choose BN as well as looking forward for winning Johor state election during GE-14. The figure shown was Khalid Nordin, former Menteri Besar of Johor before being defeated by PKR candidates in both state and parliamentary constituencies. Eventually BN was defeated and loss Johore to Pakatan Harapan, a political coalition that obtain victory at federal level at the same time.

1 year and 9 months later, everyone was shocked that BN have returned to the power as a new government was established by BN, PAS dan Bersatu (PPBM). A new Menteri Besar was later appointed by UMNO assemblyman yesterday for speedy replacement of previous Bersatu-membered Menteri Besar. This happening actually begun on 27 February when Pakatan Harapan lost its majority support among 54 state assembly members with absence of another 2 members. Prior to that, Bersatu leaved from Pakatan Harapan coalition. 

Since this year is the beginning of the decade of 2020s, therefore the slogan 'Team Johor Untuk Dekad Baharu' (Johor Team for the New Decade) sound similar with current development in Johor, with sightly alternative to 'Team Gabungan Baharu'. 'Gabungan Baharu' is the nickname for the new and freshly-built coalition among BN, PAS and Bersatu in Johore.

Me looking back this picture and get realised of this kind of Deja vu feeling.
