COLLAPSE!!!
Last Thursday, 13 June 2013 (actually i don't believe about superstitious 13). An accident occured . It happened in Georgetown, state capital of Penang. Antenna beam is fallen down to the ground, fallen onto the busy roadway at around 7.15pm after a strong wind was blown.
This news made me flashed back my memories about a few of collapsed-buildings or structure-related accidents... First of all, a week before that accident, on 6 June 2013, several parts of the exit entrance of the newly-build Second Penang Bridge collapsed. The victim was a humble and ordinary man who passed by that site just during the collapse accident taken place. Sadly, the victim was only excavated from remnants of that structure after 24 hours. He was killed. His family was very sad and frustrated. At the same time, 3 workers were injured. This sad news was soon circulated in every media ranging from printed prime media to online alternative blogs.
Before that accident, again, during 28 February 2013, an overhead flyover of an expressway near Selangor Science Park in Putrajaya collapsed.
And few days before that collapse, on 20 February 2013, parts of the roof structure of Stadium Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin in Kuala Terenganu collapsed. This incident was the second collapse after its first collapse on 2 June 2009. The former incident caused injury among 5 workers at there. According a column writer, Tok Perak (26 May 2013), the stadium cost RM300 million should be a magnificent building which reflects glory of sport arena in Terengganu, state with fame of fried lekor, however the buiding collapsed before being launched officially after being finished few months ago.
