CURRENT HAZE...

The haze now heading to the North. It start covering atmosphere of north and middle part of peninsular of Malaysia. Even the eastern coast of peninsular is not excluded from its strong impact.

Air Pollution Index readings on 9 am just now show that the haze in Selangor, Perak becoming severe, while East Sabah is still excluded from that pollution. The most severe place is Port Klang, where the readings achieve 493. On the other hand, Muar, where its disaster curfew was run last Saturday and soon withdrawn yesterday, achieve 151. It means the pollution at there becoming better than last weekend. In Sabah, Tawau, Sandakan, Keningau and Kota Kinabalu in 9 am just now achieved 40, 51, 52 and 71.

Every person hope Indonesian authority, especially departments which in charge in affairs of Natural Resources and Environment, will take serious measures to cure this haze pollution. I suggest Indonesia, Brunei, Malaysia and Singapore should held an annual meeting to discuss haze issue and establish co-operation to cure this open-burning culture in every plantation. Kindly deal the requests from neighbouring countries because we also suffered from this disaster, although some officers may regard it as a little natural disaster.
